You must be at least 18 years old to enroll in MECHA Train programs. A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required. We welcome career changers and current caregivers of all backgrounds.
Yes, a background check is required before starting any program. This is standard for healthcare training in Hawai’i and helps ensure patient safety. We’ll guide you through the process.
You’ll need current immunizations including TB testing before clinical placement. Specific requirements follow Hawai’i Department of Health guidelines. Our advisors will provide a complete checklist during enrollment.
